Lacey's Story

Lacey Vowell is a native of Ackerman, MS.  She is the mother of two beautiful children, Kole and Izzy. Vowell is a Registered Nurse and Licensed Nursing Home Administrator.  She began her nursing career with a focus in Medical-Surgical, ICU, and the ER.  She started her career in Long Term Care as a Nursing Supervisor and soon moved to the role of Director of Nursing in 2004.  After finding her passion in Long Term Care she pursued her Nursing Home Administrator License and has functioned in that role since.

Lacey is passionate about giving back to her community and serves in various volunteer roles. She is currently an active member of the Mississippi University for Women Nursing College Advisory Board, Treasurer of Choctaw County Booster Club, and the Membership Director for the Mississippi Bowhunters Association.

Lacey is an avid archer/bowhunter and loves spending time in the outdoors.  She loves hunting whitetail exclusively with her bow and looks forward to harvesting a turkey with her bow soon.  Vowell grew up as a gun hunter but loves the challenge the bow brings to hunting.  Being outdoors is her favorite because of the time it allows her to reflect on the bountiful blessings the Lord has provided.
